Why first birthdays need a different build

A one-year-old will pull anything within reach. We keep helium clusters at ceiling height, tape every latex balloon down at floor level, and skip glitter, sequins and small foil confetti entirely. Backdrops are frame-mounted rather than wall-taped so nothing peels off onto the floor. If the party is in an apartment clubhouse, we bring our own free-standing frames because most associations do not allow nails or strong tape on their walls.

Timing it around the baby's nap
